Our Road to the Sale is the How to Sell part of our lesson plan. This section takes up Thursday and Friday and sometimes Saturday morning. No one leaves for home on Saturday afternoon until they can recite almost word for word the content of this section. Now that you know what is involved in good Prospecting, it's time to learn How to Sell.
Pre-Sold buyers coming your way...
Assuming you have done a good job setting up your 4 or 5 Prospecting programs, you have probably talked on the phone or chatted via e-mail to quite a few prospects and set a number of appointments. In doing this you have already built some Respect and Trust with these people making your upcoming "Meet and Greet" with your coming appointments much easier. You have "Broken the ice" with these people and they feel as comfortable as you will. Your How to Sell phase of the sale just has to go much smoother. So long as you DO NOT SKIP ANY OF THE ROAD TO THE SALE steps you will close the sale.
Closely follow these Road to the Sale steps for positive success.Prospecting. Not much happens until you find people to sell something to. 3 days of this good stuff.Greet and Meet the Prospect. Should be easy since you have already talked to him/her.Qualify. Find their needs and wants. Listen for "hot Buttons." Show your products features and explain the benefits of each.Demonstrate your product. How it feels. How it looks. How it sounds. How it works. Trial Close; Would you be happy with...., Can you picture yourself with this...., Would you buy this ______ from me today?Negotiating price (when customary on certain products and services).Closing the sale; Will you buy this ______ from me today?Product delivery. Quickly and efficiently do whatever it takes to complete the deal and get your customers on their way with their new pride and joy.Get at least 4 quality referrals on paper BEFORE your customer leaves. (Use a pre-printed referral form)Stop! Get lost to MEDITATE privately after every sale OR no-sale. Recall what you did right and what you did wrong!Immediately transfer your customer info from prospect to new customer in your CRM data base. Set up your new customers FOLLOW-UP schedule in your data base. Frequent follow-up is a life or death must for all salespeople
